Meet Pastor Paul
Bishop Paul Fontanez
Paul Fontanez is the Founder and Bishop of Nea Zoe Church, and Mill Plain Union Church, they combined to form Nea Zoe Mill Plain Church. Born in Bronx, NY, raised in Long Island, NY. He answered God's call to serve at the age of 19. He started Pastoring at the age of 33. Bishop Paul is married and has five children. He holds a BSN from New York University, MBA from Post University, MSN from University of Hartford, MATS from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and is working on his PHD from Liberty University and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
In 2008, Bishop Paul and Brenda moved to Connecticut, they started the church in their house and within 9 months moved to 66 East Clay Street Waterbury, CT. In 2013, they relocated to 2152 East Main Street Waterbury, CT. In 2015, they moved to their current location at 242 Southmayd Road.
With a vision to spread the gospel and develop ministers, Bishop Paul began the Nea Zoe Ministerial Association (NZMA), which is a Pastoral training program designed to equip Pastors for leading and planting churches.
